Weather Center

A weather center is a specific area of a news set designated for the presentation of the weather segments on a newscast.

Some weather centers feature functional workspaces with computers and other equipment forecasts use to prepare their forecasts.

Weather centers often includes many computer or television monitors that display various weather maps, weather data and live weather cameras. These monitors are seen in the background behind the weather forecasters while they are on the air.

Some weather centers also use large screen televisions to present large weather maps or other graphics behind forecasters, allowing them to point to the images on the screen as an alternative to using the chroma key wall.
